Senior Recruitment

Welcome

Dear Candidate,

Liz McSheehyI wanted to take a moment to thank you for your interest in the National Skills Academy for Social Care.

These are exciting times for the Skills Academy as we work to complete our business planning stage and move ahead to develop and introduce new programmes designed to help transform the management and leadership of the adult social care sector.

To accomplish this, I am looking to recruit a senior management team capable of helping me shape the development of the Skills Academy to meet the needs and expectations of the sector. As a member of this key team, you will need to be creative, flexible and able to tackle the many challenges that lie ahead. You will need to be energetic, and bold, and brave enough to explore new ways of addressing long-standing problems. Most importantly, you will need to flexible, adaptable and willing to work in collaboration with colleagues and our many partners, to utilise the energy, enthusiasm and experience available.

We are entering an important time for adult social care, with increasing demands placed on a growing workforce that is expected to expand by a million or more by 2025. It is essential that this workforce has the leadership and management capabilities necessary to meet the expectations of the millions of people who rely on it. Together, we will work to ensure it does.

I joined the Skills Academy in March as the Director and can safely say it has been the most exciting, rewarding and challenging five months of my career. Again, thank you for your interest and I look forward to receiving your application for one of these very exciting roles.

Sincerely,

Liz McSheehy
